Overview

The Deluxe recipes are designed to be the most complete and balanced base diet for dogs. There are no cat Deluxe recipes.

Balance

According to Raw Fed Dogs, the correct nutrient ratio for a complete raw diet is:

• 80% meat, sinew, ligaments, fat

• 10% edible bone

• 5% liver

• 5% other organ meat

Meat Content

Chicken, Beef or Roo.

Edible Bone

This is unlikely to be easily processed into the recipe mix. Will need to explore options to replace the nutrients the bone content would normally supply.

Liver

This should be separate to the other offal content to ensure it makes up the full 5%.

Other Organ Meat

This should be comprised of other organs. We may question whether we consider heart meat to be muscle and therefore add extra above the 5% for the vitamin benefits, without diminishing the 5% in the "other organ" ratios.
